An Update from Allie
Hello Dear Readers,
Some of you who have followed my blog closely have realized that I haven’t posted in a while. My family and I left Panama in late May. Our original plan was to be living in Spain for the summer and beyond. As you may know, Spain tugs at my heart and this is especially true for the San Fermin Festival and the Running of the Bulls which is taking place right now in Pamplona. Instead I am at home in Idaho, resting with my family and working on my health. For those of you who are in Spain now, I hope you are enjoying and savoring each moment of Spanish sunshine.
As my health returns, I will update the blog. Until full recovery, contributors may make appearances as guest writers on the Hemingway Project.
I appreciate you all dearly.
I am so glad to read from you, dear Allie. I have missed your updates, pictures, and blog posts a lot. You take care of yourself, and we will wait for your return.
I am sending you all my thoughts, toute mon amitié,
Corine.
So great to hear from you! It is also good to know you are back in Idaho and closer to us now. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you. Since each “move” is a transition requiring major adjustments, we hope you are settling in and have found a new haven here.
We are especially sending blessings for recovery of any health issues. Many new discoveries in this area will be known and shared soon, so it’s only a matter of a brief time before some amazing technologies will be released to ease our way forward into a New Golden Era of peace, prosperity and miraculous healing. Also during this time, new transportation will become available (see Keshe Foundation) even three minute travel to anywhere on the planet ~ and this will make moving back and forth to Spain much faster for you!
Much love to you and your family…
I have thought about you a lot, Allie, and kept you in my thoughts and prayers. Take care, get your rest, and you know Hemingway has plenty of time to wait for your return….lol.
So rest and get better. He will still be here, and so will we.
Did you hear they are doing the bull runs here in the states? One event is gonna be in Houston, Texas. My brother, his kids and grandkids all live down there. Been working on them to attend.
Be Good!
Your fan,
gary
Allie, I’m distraught to hear about your health problems. Know that you are in my thoughts. Do only what makes you feel better or makes you smile. Rest, rest, rest.
Next year the Symposium is going to be about Hemingway in Cuba. We’re going to have Castro’s photographer, Roberto Salsa exhibit his photos and Sean Poole and Terri Cabra, present their book on Antonio Gattorno, “Cuban artist of the World” according to Ernest Hemingway. We’re looking at having noches Cubanos with salsa dancing and mojitos. You MUST get better and come.
Take good care,
Sandy
Allie, you look great! I am worried about Rich, how can he be with you in the sun, arm around you and NOT a beer in his hand? Rich, we must talk.
Life heating up here, fires on the mountain announced in the Mexican press (my son and two friends e mailed me).but of no importance other than egg beaters in the sky and a nasty smell in the morning.
Allie, sit back and watch with your feet up…there is next year.

Oh my Gosh, I am so sorry to hear you are dealing with health issues. We had discussed our common foe, is that what is going on? Please take care and email me if you can. Hugs, Melissa
Lots of positive thoughts and healing affirmations coming your way, Amiga. Sinceramente y con amor para tu y su familia, Denise
Dearest Allie, wishing you a speedy and total recovery, and lazy summer days filled with watermelon, iced tea and a good book. LOVE TO YOU, Judy
Friends and Fellow Hemingway Aficionados,
I am deeply touched by these comments. Thank you. You all mean a great deal to me.
My family will help me update the blog this summer.
With love,
Allie
Please take care and be well, Allie. You’re vital!
Dear Allie–
I am rooting for you big time to get well! That’s because I want to invite you to slow dance with me at twilight to the schmaltzy music from the Cafe Florian in the Piazza San Marcos at the International Hemingway Conference in Venice, Italy next June. I’m betting you’ll have lots of other dancing invitations from your many friends and admirers. “Bung-0!” as my friend Lady Brett Ashley might say. Don Daiker
Stumbled across your blog a month or so ago. I have recently become obsessed with Hemingway and the lost generation in Paris in the 20s. It started after I watched Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris, my newest favorite movie. I then read A Paris Wife and fell in love with Hadley and Hem. Now am reading A Moveable Feast. Thank you for your posts!
Hi Allie
Thoughts and prayers are with you. <3 You are very strong… feel the LOVE healing YOU! <3
Joao! Its so good to hear from you, I’ve thought of you often since meeting you in Mexico, and we thought of you again last fall because we had hoped to visit Portugal (but never had time). Let’s catch up soon, I would love that –
Allie
