Allie Baker

Allie Baker is a freelance writer and inquisitive Hemingway fan. She enjoys reading, writing, cooking, walking, and travel. Her writing has been published in travel magazines, literary journals and poetry anthologies. Allie has worked in bookstores and both public and academic libraries, always adding to her already long list of books to read. Her belief that the books we love add to our own evolving story is reflected in the compelling interviews she’s published on The Hemingway Project. In recent years, Allie has traveled throughout South America and Spain, following some of Hadley and Hemingway’s footsteps throughout Europe. She plans to go back next summer, to continue research about Hemingway that will eventually be a book. Allie spoke about her blog at the Hemingway Symposium in Ketchum, Idaho this past October, in a presentation called, West of Paris: Conversations about Ernest Hemingway and at the Hemingway Society Conference in Petosky, Michigan in 2012.

Allie is married and has two sons. She lives in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
